I like the la la\'s, too, Tommy. My full comment to Sam was that they\'re the best part of the song and he needs to hold them out until later in the song. When they show up early in the song they release the tension too early. That\'s a better place for another verse. Then, when they hit later in the song, you\'re hearing them for the first time and you\'re singing along.
And, by the way, Sam doesn\'t need a new vocalist. I thought the vocals were great. It\'s all about attitude and swagger. Listen to the attitude I put into some of my songs. Donkey Jockey, in particular. Play the role of rock star and don\'t worry about embarrassing yourself and you\'ll end up with a solid vocal.
I like the la la\'s. I say leave \'em in. The new band sounds like The Lemonheads.
